Terms & Conditions
Warranty overview
The warranty and these terms may change without notice. Always refer to this page for the most current information. We are not lawyers, but we need to protect ourselves from misuse and misinterpretation. We’ve written this warranty in plain language so it’s easy to understand. The warranty only covers the original owner of the laser machine and cannot be transferred. Be sure to read your operator’s manual for additional legal details.
Warranty coverage
- 1‑year limited warranty: Covers replacement parts due to manufacturer defects and failures. Consumables—such as the honeycomb bed, laser tube, mirrors and focal lens—are not covered.
- 3‑month limited warranty (tube, mirrors and lenses): This short‑term coverage applies to the laser tube, mirrors and lenses. It does not cover damage caused by:
- Improper cooling (no coolant, wrong coolant or coolant contamination).
- Contamination or improper cleaning of optics.
- Shock, vibration or loss of focus.
- Breakage during installation or shipping.
- Damage to the glass tips at the electrical connection points. These connections are delicate; any crack can release the laser gas and render the tube unusable. Secure the wires so they don’t put torque on the glass.
Replacing a part does not extend the original warranty period.
Shipping and packaging
Our warranty does not cover damage that occurs during shipping. We package products carefully, but once a carrier takes possession we have no control over how they handle your package. If you paid for shipping, you are responsible for filing any claims for damage with your carrier. We cannot send a free replacement while a claim is pending.
- If you return a part for testing, it is considered “good” until we confirm an issue. Insure your return shipment; if it arrives damaged you must file the claim.
- Carriers will investigate before paying a claim. If your package isn’t properly packed, they may deny it. Follow your carrier’s packaging rules and use foam or other cushioning to protect your item.
Machine testing and condition
Every machine is fully tested before it leaves our shop. We run each function long enough to ensure it performs to our standards:
- The motion controller and software communicate as designed.
- Power supplies operate at the correct voltages.
- Motors and CO₂ tubes are exercised and verified to produce a laser beam.
- The machine ships in good operating condition with no known issues.
Consumables and honeycomb bed
Damage to the honeycomb bed is not covered. The honeycomb is a consumable part. Placing heavy materials on it can bow or sag the bed, causing it to lose flatness. Repeated heavy use will scar the honeycomb surface, so treat it gently to prolong its life.
Performance and liability
We do not guarantee a specific production rate, profitability or suitability for a particular application. Service work and shipping fees are non‑refundable. Replacement parts may be returned within 30 days, subject to a 15 % restocking fee plus costs such as labor, freight, or travel. To qualify for a refund:
- The part must be complete with all accessories, software and manuals.
- It must be in its original box with the original packing materials.
- We will inspect returned items for damage. Often what is reported as a defect turns out to be shipping damage or user error. Please follow the instructions in your user manual for unpacking and operating the machine.
Returns of mirrors and lenses
Lenses and mirrors come in sealed boxes. We cannot accept returns on these items if the seal is broken. If they arrive in “like‑new” condition, a negotiated refund may be possible. If they arrive damaged, you must file a claim with your carrier. If an item is returned without prior authorization or remains unclaimed for more than 30 days, we reserve the right to dispose of it.
Refund timing
We issue credit after we receive and inspect your return. Your credit card company decides when the credit appears on your statement.
Responsibility for use and maintenance
Rabbit Laser USA and its representatives are not responsible for injuries or damage resulting from improper use, neglect or lack of maintenance. The operator must read the manual thoroughly and follow all operating and maintenance instructions. Damage caused by wind, fire, flood, vandalism, electrical surges, or other disasters is not covered.
The warranty is void if you misuse the machine, fail to maintain it, or fail to provide a safe work environment. It also doesn’t cover damage from electrical surges, brownouts, liquids, or improper focus. Using a laser involves heating materials—if it’s out of focus or unattended, it can ignite materials and damage the machine. Always stay with the machine, keep a smoke detector nearby and have fire suppression equipment available.
Machine safety guidelines
- Do not bypass safety interlocks. These switches prevent the laser from firing when it could hurt you or damage the machine.
- Ensure proper cooling. The water pump must be running. If the flow sensor doesn’t detect water pressure, the laser will not fire.
- Keep panels closed. The laser tube and electronics contain high voltages and laser radiation. Only open panels when the machine is off and unplugged.
- Keep hands and materials clear of moving parts and the laser beam. Collisions can misalign the machine or cause injuries.
- Keep limit switches unobstructed. These switches tell the machine when it has reached its end of travel. If they’re blocked, the machine may try to move beyond its limits and cause damage.
Personal safety guidelines
- Close all doors during operation. Wear laser‑safety glasses when a panel is open and the machine is powered. Use wood, plastic or Plexiglas—not paper—for aligning the laser.
- Ventilate the area. Laser cutting produces fumes and particulates that can irritate lungs or cause nausea. Make sure your workspace has proper exhaust.
- Avoid combustible gases. If you smell propane or other flammable gases, do not operate the laser.
- Keep a smoke detector and fire extinguisher nearby.
- Never leave the machine unattended while running.
Our role and relationship with the manufacturer
Rabbit Laser USA is a distributor, not the manufacturer. We service the machines, supply parts and negotiate warranties with the manufacturer on your behalf. Because the manufacturer is based in China, we push for fair warranty practices by threatening to stop purchasing equipment if they don’t honor their commitments. Even so, we take responsibility for supporting our customers in the U.S.
