CW-5200 Refrigerated Water Chiller for CO₂ Laser Machines – 220VAC
CW-5200 Refrigerated Water Chiller for CO₂ Laser Machines
Give your higher-power CO₂ laser the cooling capacity it needs for longer jobs and demanding production schedules.
The CW-5200 is a compressor-based refrigerated water chiller designed to actively remove heat from the coolant circulating through a glass CO₂ laser tube. Its closed-loop system continuously pumps coolant through the laser tube, cools it through an internal refrigeration system, and returns it to the machine at a controlled temperature.
Unlike fan-and-radiator cooling systems, the CW-5200 can lower the coolant temperature below the surrounding room temperature. This provides more consistent cooling during extended engraving and cutting jobs, repeated production runs, and operation in warmer work environments.
With greater cooling capacity than the CW-5000, the CW-5200 is a strong choice for compatible higher-power CO₂ laser machines and applications that place a heavier demand on the cooling system.
Why Proper Laser Tube Cooling Matters
A glass CO₂ laser tube creates heat every time it fires. As the coolant temperature rises, laser performance may become less consistent and the tube may experience unnecessary stress.
The CW-5200 helps control that heat by maintaining steady coolant circulation and monitoring both water temperature and flow. Stable cooling helps support consistent laser output while protecting one of the most important components in your machine.

Intelligent Temperature Control
The CW-5200 temperature controller supports two operating methods.
In intelligent mode, the chiller adjusts the target coolant temperature in relation to the surrounding room temperature. This can help reduce the risk of condensation forming on the laser tube and coolant lines.
In constant-temperature mode, the operator can manually select a fixed coolant temperature for the application.
Temperature settings should be chosen carefully. Setting the coolant unnecessarily cold may cause condensation, especially in warm or humid workspaces.
Built-In Alarm Protection
The CW-5200 monitors important operating conditions and can alert the operator when a problem is detected. Depending on the controller and configuration, monitored conditions may include:
- Restricted or interrupted coolant flow
- High coolant temperature
- Low coolant temperature
- High room temperature
- Temperature-sensor failure
- Compressor overload
When connected to a compatible laser machine through the chiller interlock, an alarm condition can prevent the laser tube from firing without proper coolant circulation.
Installation and Operating Information
This CW-5200 model requires a compatible 220VAC electrical connection. Confirm your available voltage and outlet configuration before ordering.
Always fill the chiller with the coolant recommended for your laser system before turning it on. Operating the circulation pump without coolant may damage the pump.
Place the chiller in a clean, dry, and well-ventilated location. Leave adequate open space around the air inlet and exhaust so the refrigeration system can release heat properly.
Regularly inspect the coolant level, hoses, connections, air filter, and circulation. Dirty filters, restricted airflow, low coolant, or kinked hoses can reduce cooling performance.
Confirm Compatibility Before Ordering
Chillers should not be selected by model number alone. The correct choice depends on your laser tube wattage, electrical requirements, operating environment, and expected workload.
Contact Rabbit Laser USA with your laser machine model and tube wattage before ordering. Our technical support team can help confirm whether the CW-5200 is the correct chiller for your system.
