Motion Control Systems for Lasers

Our laser machines have been provided with two brands of motion control systems. The Leetro control system has always been paired with LaserCut5.3 software. The Ruida control system has always been pair with RDWorks V8 software.

Leetro - LaserCut53:

The Leetro control systems have always been paired with LaserCut53 software. You should identify the firmware for your controller and then download the corresponding software package. The firmware must match the DLLs.

Ruida - RDWorks:

All new laser systems from Rabbit Laser USA are built with Ruida controllers (RDC6442G and RDC6442S). As laser machines progress, we also will be providing the NEW controllers (RDC6445 with advanced display options).

The industry standard RDWorks V8 software, manuals, and tutorials are provided here to help you with your projects:

CorelDraw: Graphics Development Suite  

AutoCAD: Computer Aided Design and Drafting. This is used to design/edit projects that will be vector cutting.

Image / Graphics manipulation:

  • Wintopo (Freeware): Manipulates graphics files by thinning algorithms into vector files 
  • GIMP2 (Freeware): Graphics editing package 
  • TTF to DXF(Freeware): Converts True Type Fonts to DXF files (laser uses the DXF for vector cutting and engraving) 
  • Raster to Vector 1.27 (Freeware): Vectorizing program for graphics 
  • Stickfont (Freeware): Produces text path programs for CNC Machines 
  • DaFont.com (Freeware): Has many different font types to use.

Machines:

You may not reconstruct, reverse engineer, decompile, or reproduce any design or component of the machine

Drivers:

You may not reconstruct, deconstruct, reverse engineer, decompile, or reproduce any design or component of the drivers packages or security devices. Each Driver package has its own set of "End User License Agreements". The preinstallation of such software packages does not remove the end user from obligation to uphold the terms of the agreements. ... Drivers, Cad Applications, Schematics, Test Projects, Laser Signs, Firmware, .. and more.

What about FONTS for my laser software?

 The Laser Cut 5.x software uses whatever fonts are included in your computer system. If you want more fonts, then simply add more fonts to the Windows font directory. You can purchase any specialty fonts that you may want. There are MANY fonts that get installed with Corel and also with MS Office. Many people throughout the Internet have created fonts and make those fonts free and available for download. Please check out our listings of common fonts and preferred web sites for downloading fonts.
